Bible Studies

Women in the Word

Women in the Word, an imperfect but passionate group of working women, normally meet on Wednesdays from 5:30-7:00 pm.  Given our busy lives, we will be selecting a devotional book to use as a tool to grow closer to God and to one another! New members are welcome!

Thursday Bible Study

Ladies, you are invited to join us on Thursdays, January 11-February 15 at 9:00am in the EEC for a Women's Bible Study. We are reading “The Friendship of Women: The Hidden Tradition of the Bible.” To reserve your copy, please let Sarah know (sarahf@mtviewpres.org). There is no charge for the book!

Other Opportunities

Ruth Circle

We meet the third Tuesday of the month at 10:00 am in The Gathering Room September through May. In December we have a Christmas lunch in a member’s home. This year we have a two part focus for study: we spend time sharing to get to know each other better and we are studying our favorite hymns. The program leader for each month tells about her favorite hymn.

Sarah Circle

Sarah Circle will meet at 10 a.m. the 3rd Monday of every month (including the rest of summer) at the Chapel at Westminster. We invite anyone that is interested in Fellowship, a short Meditation, Prayer, Coffee and Muffins to join us.

Book Circle

Book Circle discusses one book every month. We meet at 10:00 am on the second Monday of the month, September through June.

Stitching Sisters

Stitching Sisters meets monthly on the third Monday to promote fellowship among women who machine sew or do hand needlework. A devotion is shared before we break for our own sack lunch.Personal projects are regularly in progress. Participation is encouraged in the design and construction of group projects, which are sewn by multiple members. These have included quilts and various home goods which are then offered for sale at the fundraiser in November. Sale money benefits the Women’s Ministries account for distribution to local and faraway missions.

Hands-For-Mission

The Hands-for-Mission group knits and crochets blocks that are assembled into afghans, which are donated to a variety of charitable organizations throughout Arizona. We also provide baby blankets to veteran moms with babies. Meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of the month in the EEC room, between 1:00 and 3:00 pm. All supplies are provided by Women’s Ministries. Yarns and blocks are available in our cabinets in the EEC room for those who would like to knit, crochet and assemble afghans/blankets at home.
