Vision Statement : To see the Gospel of the Kingdom advancing in Northern Honduras by partnering with local churches to train and equip the next generation of leaders. Adam and Michelle Cain, under the umbrella of Mission to the World, are involved in caring for the larger community of La Ceiba. The ministry involves proclaiming the Gospel, caring for the poor, educating church leaders, and being responsive to needs as they arise (i.e. disaster relief after two hurricanes this year). MVPC has hosted the Cain’s at MVPC on previous trips home and seek to respond to special needs as they arise.

Al-Basma Vocational Training Center in Bethlehem

Al Basma Special Rehabilitation Centre is a place where young adults with learning disabilities can go during the day for training in valuable life and work skills. The center is in Beit Sahour, just East of Bethlehem in an area renowned for its olive wood carving.

The center was founded in 1987 and served just 5 clients when it first opened. Since that time it has grown considerably and now serves 36 young adults aged from 12 years old and up

Clients at the center work during the morning to produce the craft products sold in the center gift shop. Making these products gives the clients work experience and the opportunity to contribute to the running of their organization. The center produces hand-made paper and woven rugs. MVPC teams have made multiple trips to the center to see the work, encourage the leadership, and discover who we can continue to help meet the needs of Special Needs adults and children.
